Mayor Ralph Becker and CA+P explore the Granary District
On February 17, CA+P and Salt Lake City’s Office of the Mayor will host an exciting event to discuss the challenges and opportunities unique to the Granary District. This second annual Mayor’s Symposium will feature experts, both local and from around the country, to discuss the future of this historic downtown area.
Located just southwest of the downtown core, the Granary District is comprised of low-density warehouses, commercial buildings, some residential development, and vacant land. Light rail currently moves through the area and there are plans for a streetcar line. It is a prime location for revitalization, and this is an exciting time of discussion and visioning.
Free and open to the public, the symposium begins at 1:00 p.m. and will be held at Frida Bistro, an award-winning Mexican restaurant located at 545 West 700 South. Registration is not required. See below and click here for additional details.
