Honors Courses That Count for Other Major/University Requirements

Some of the courses required for the CA+P Honors Program also count for requirements in the university's general education curriculum and in the architecture and urban ecology majors.

University General Education/Community Engaged Learning

CMP 3101: People and Place I and ARCH 2615: People and Place II
Both semesters of People and Place are qualified for university humanities and social sciences general education credit. Students must choose which requirement they want to satisfy through the courses. The People and Place courses also count as Community Engaged Learning credit.

Architecture

ARCH 2615: People and Place II
The second semester of People and Place satisfies the pre-major requirement for ARCH 1615: Intro to Architecture.

Urban Ecology

CMP 3101: People and Place I
The first semester of People and Place satisfies the urban ecology major requirement for CMP 3100: Urban Environmental Theory & Practice.

ARCH 2615: People and Place II
The second semester of People and Place counts as an elective in the urban ecology major.

HONOR 3200: Writing in a Research University
HONOR 3200 counts toward the 3000-level writing requirement in the urban ecology major.
